Steps to plan your trip
Recommended For Most Guests
Best flight option for most UK guests
For most guests travelling from the UK, the easiest option is to fly direct into Seville Airport (SVQ). From London, there are regular direct flights from Gatwick with airlines including easyJet, Vueling and Ryanair.

Do you need to hire a car? Probably not. If you're staying in central Seville, everything is easy to do on foot and taxis are simple to use throughout the weekend. A taxi from the airport to the city is usually around €10–€15, or you can pre-book a transfer if you'd prefer.
Getting AroundBest area to stay for this wedding
For most guests, staying centrally in Seville is the best option. It makes it easier to explore the city, enjoy the wedding weekend and get to the venue without overthinking logistics. We'd recommend looking at areas such as Santa Cruz, El Arenal and Old Town.
Where to StayMust Sees
Seville has a few absolute must-sees to fit in around the wedding events. Don’t miss a visit to the Cathedral (ideally timed for sunset), a stroll up to the rooftop for views over the city, a boat ride in Plaza de España, and the stunning gardens of the Real Alcázar. It’s highly recommended to book tickets in advance, as they often sell out in the week leading up to your visit.
Things To DoTop Tips
Pack for Heat
Seville in early Oct is warm (mid–high 20s°C). Bring light, breathable outfits, sun cream for daytime and a light layer for cooler evenings at wedding events and outdoor celebrations.
Eat Late
In Seville, expect late dining: lunch 2–4pm is often the main meal, and dinner is from 9pm. Restaurants may not open until 8:30pm, so wedding evenings run later than UK.
Useful Phrases
Useful wedding phrases: “Felicidades a los novios” (congratulations to the couple), “¿Dónde es la ceremonia?” (where’s the ceremony), “¿Dónde es la recepción?” (where’s the reception), “¡Salud!” (cheers).
Currency
Spain uses the Euro (€). Cards are widely accepted, especially in cities, but carry some cash for small tapas bars, taxis and market stalls during your wedding trip in Seville.
✈️ Best way to get to Seville
Most guests fly direct from London — it's around 2h 45m. Flying via Madrid is also an option if you're looking for flexibility or better value. Flights to Malaga are also more frequent, but requires you to travel to Seville.
